What Now Nashville connected with Nari to learn more about his plans with the brand.

“I started my career with In-and-Out Burger and worked with the brand for 10 years helping with their new restaurant openings before exploring full-service dining,” said Nari. “I’ve helped open 56 restaurants over my career, and I am looking forward to getting these Nick the Greek restaurants open soon. Since the first time I had Nick the Greek I’ve loved the concept. The three Nicks are some of the best people, and they’ve done a great job structuring this business.”

Nick the Greek was established by three cousins: Big Nick, Little Nick, and Baby Nick Tsigaris. The trio have built a fast-casual menu inspired by Greek street food. Menu items include gyros, souvlaki skewers, baklava and loukoumades.

According to a press release around Nari’s multi-unit deal, Nick the Greek currently has a presence in California, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, Kansas, Missouri and Utah. The chain is on track to have 90 restaurants before the end of 2024.

Nari has been a franchisee before, but these Nick the Greek restaurants will be his first businesses in Tennessee.

“I’ve been trying to get my family to Nashville since 2017,” he said. “It’s been exciting to see the city grow, and I really respect how people live their lives out here. While Nashville’s commercial real estate market is absolutely wild and has been an adventure to navigate, I love the energy and buzz going on around the city.”

Currently Nick the Greek is working to secure leases and permits. As there is still a good deal of construction ahead for Nari and his team, he anticipates the first location in the Nashville area will open sometime around Q3 of this year. Nari estimates that a location in the Brentwood area will likely be the first to open. A downtown Nashville location should open sometime in 2025.

“We hope to attract lifetime employees who are as invested in us as we are them,“ said Nari. “We are excited to be bringing these job opportunities to these communities. Nick the Greek will bring delicious food and great opportunities to the new communities where we are operating.”
