The hand-rolled bagel concept, founded by hospitality veterans Jeff Crabiel and Jake Strang, offers flavor drops with rotating bagels and spreads as well as signature, permanent menu items. Currently, the featured monthly bagel flavors include gingerbread and cranberry walnut, according to the Ugly Bagel website. The twelve bagel flavors always offered on the menu include French toast, asiago and cheddar jalapeno. Spreads include flavors like funfetti, bacon chive and bourbon pecan.
“At Ugly Bagel, we believe in embracing imperfections,” the website states. “Our bagels might be quirky, but they’re delicious. Each bagel is hand rolled and personalized for you to enjoy. We’re all about spreading joy through smiles, quality food and keeping things fun and friendly.”
The spot also offers bagel sandwiches and coffee and tea beverages.
Ugly Bagel has more Nashville locations in the pipeline, according to the Nashville Business Journal. It is planning to open a spot in Wedgewood-Houston, though an exact location has yet to be announced.
“It’s an honor to be a part of the growing bagel revolution, offering a fresh take on the traditional hand-rolled bagel and we’re committed to redefining fast service through a hospitable touch,” Crabiel said in a previous statement to What Now Nashville. “We can’t wait to spread joy through life’s simple moments with our guests.”
