A new Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurant, Casa Roja Mexican Grill, will be opening at 122 W Franklin St. in Gallatin. It is slated to have a grand opening in January, co-owner Esiason Gutierrez told What Now Nashville.
The almost 5,000-square-foot space will include three sections: a bar, booths and an upstairs section that can be used for private events.
Gutierrez said that they are aiming to provide a slightly different version of the traditional Mexican restaurant experience.
“We are more of an elevated service Mexican restaurant, but we still have competition level prices. The presentation of our plates will be more upscale, as well,” Gutierrez said.
The decor and furniture will all be rustic and imported from Mexico, made from materials such as tequila barrels, wagon wheels and wood. There will also be details like handblown glasses from Mexico, which will complement a beverage program of alcoholic drinks, sodas and agua fresca.
“We are looking forward to bringing this restaurant to the community because our type of service and the atmosphere that we will provide will not be like your typical Mexican restaurant around Gallatin,” Gutierrez said. “Once you come into our restaurant, it feels like home and it feels comfortable there. With other Mexican restaurants, they have a different type of atmosphere than what you would find at our place.”
The team also hopes to be involved in the community, from schools to charities.
