According to a press release, the Mexican-style taqueria Taco Bamba will be opening its first Tennessee location at the end of the year in the Green Hills neighborhood of Nashville. The address will be 4017 Hillsboro Pike.
Chef Victor Albisu is behind the expansion. Known for his acclaimed restaurants in the Washington, D.C. suburbs, Albisu has garnered success from Taco Bamba’s nine other locations and has decided to expand the brand to other states. Five more locations are on the horizon, including one in Nashville and one in North Carolina.
An exact grand opening date is too far out to determine, however, officials from Taco Bamba tell What Now Nashville that the projected timeline is at the end of 2023.
The restaurant specializes in catering to the community it calls home by customizing its menu to offer something unique that speaks to the area.
“The thing that excites me most about opening in a new market is the chance to build a new menu for its neighborhood. We create unique menu items for each location based on the neighborhood and Nashville has so much to offer. In my last several visits, I’ve had some really memorable meals and experiences and warm, welcoming conversations with chefs and owners from places like Xiao Bao, Red Headed Stranger, The Bar at Audrey, Attaboy, and Hearts. We’re inspired and excited to bring Taco Bamba to the Green Hills community,” Chef Albisu said in a statement.
The menu will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner and includes dishes like chilaquiles, tortas, enchiladas, and of course, a wide range of tacos to choose from. Taco Bamba also offers a happy hour menu from 3 pm to 6 pm Monday through Friday and includes a full bar.
