Known for its Austin, Texas-style breakfast tacos, Ladybird Tacos first opened in Nashville’s popular 12 South neighborhood in 2020. Since then, the brand has grown to expand beyond state lines and recently opened a location in Birmingham, Alabama this past February.

Its most popular menu offering combines a homemade flour tortilla, scrambled eggs, bacon, and cheese. The restaurant prides itself on making every tortilla fresh in-house as well as its salsas and queso from scratch, using locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant serves breakfast and lunch, and operating hours will be 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends.

Founder and owner Gabe Scott was inspired by his Texan-native wife to create a different kind of taco shop in Nashville after experiencing Austin’s distinct taco scene. When Scott befriended two other Austin, Texas local restauranteurs Andrew Wiseheart and Ben Edgerton, the dream of opening Ladybird was made into reality three years ago.

President of Ladybird Taco Brooks Veazey, who has been with the team since 2021, gave What Now Nashville some insight into the new location coming to East.

“We are pumped to serve Inglewood. We are most excited to serve and be a part of a new neighborhood and offer promotion opportunities for our team in 12 South,” Veazey said.

The Ladybird team is also actively searching for additional locations to expand in Nashville as well as Birmingham while working on opening the Inglewood location, according to Veazey.

Stay tuned for updates on Ladybird Taco’s second Music City location as it progresses closer to the opening on its Instagram, Facebook, and website.
