According to a press release, Ryman Hospitality will collaborate with country music star Luke Combs to open a new bar and music venue inspired by Combs’ single “Hurricane.” The concept will be replacing the longstanding Wildhorse Saloon at 120 2nd Ave North, although Wildhorse will stay open to serve guests during the renovation process. The official name of the new bar is pending.

An exact grand opening date has yet to be determined, though is likely to be at least a year out, with a tentative timeline being the summer of 2024. The venue will be 69,000-square-foot of space with a total capacity of 3,200 guests.

The release states that details of the venue will include a 250-seat honky-tonk for daily live music, a ticketed concert hall for up to 1,500 people, a songwriters’ room, a third-floor sports bar, and a 9,000-square-foot rooftop bar with unobstructed views of the Cumberland River and Nissan Stadium.

“Just as Combs has taken country music by storm, the venue—inspired by his 8x platinum debut No. 1 hit, ‘Hurricane’—will be the largest and most versatile entertainment complex in the downtown entertainment district,” states the release.

The building of Wildhorse Saloon was renovated in 2016 to include $9 million worth of updated stage, technology, acoustics, and infrastructure investments.

“I got my start in town playing on this stage and to have the opportunity to work with Opry Entertainment to transform it into my own bar is a dream come true,” Luke Combs stated in the release. “I can’t wait for my fans to see what we’re up to.”
