Nashville’s strip of country bars on Lower Broadway will be revamped and retuned in the upcoming year, including new plans for Nashville Crossroads bar and music venue to expand.
According to official documents submitted to the Metro Planning Department, the building at 419 Broadway will be remodeled inside and add an additional fourth story floor to the three-story building. The honky-tonk bar will also join its popular Broadway neighbors in adding a rooftop bar for customers to enjoy during warmer weather months.
As reported by the Nashville Business Journal, several groups are listed on project documents including Big Plan Holdings, construction firm Impetus, STG Design and Benesch’s Nashville office.
Located next to the Ernest Tubb Record Shop and AJ’s Good Time Bar, Nashville Crossroads bar will continue playing live music to cater to its existing customer base as well as likely attracting tourist attention with its newly constructed remodel.
According to the Nashville Downtown Partnership website, “Nashville Crossroads has become one of Nashville’s only live music venues to combine classic country music and southern rock-n-roll. Crossroads has the welcoming atmosphere of a neighborhood bar where you can always count on a friendly bartender and an iced cold beer.”
Nashville Crossroads has been closed since November 19, 2022 and will likely reopen in late 2023, as stated on their Instagram page.
Josh Joseph from Big Plan Holdings did not immediately respond to What Now Nashville’s request for comment.
