According to recent reporting, the nearby Nashville suburb Hendersonville is slated to see two new fast-casual chains. A future shopping complex is proposed for Starbucks and Chick-fil-A in a new development called Alexander Commercial Development currently under construction, located on East Main Street between Maple Row Boulevard and Maple Drive.
However, the sites require rezoning approval to accommodate the long drive-thru lines that the two businesses will inevitably draw to the area, as reported by The Tennessean. Due to this reason, it’s unknown what the opening timeline for either of these spots will look like. The rezoning request is likely to be approved, and if permitting and construction efforts can be quickly completed, the two chains may open sometime next year.
“Planning commissioners did vote to give a rezoning request a positive recommendation to allow for the site to include the quick-serve restaurant uses. The rezone request will ultimately need approval by Hendersonville’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen with two passing votes,” states an article by The Tennessean.
The immediate Hendersonville area has five existing Starbucks locations, making this the sixth. Starbucks currently has around 200 locations in the state of Tennessee and is constantly growing, with all locations being corporately owned except for licensed stores inside of grocery chains. A representative from Starbucks’ corporate team declined to comment about the new Hendersonville location.
