“We tentatively expect to be serving tacos and margaritas to The Nations, Sylvan Park, Belle Meade, and West Nashville at large by late spring ’24,” Barracuda founder and owner Brett Jones told What Now Nashville.
Originally an abandoned lumber mill, Silo Studios is one component of the newly-developed 38-acre Silo Bend community in West Nashville, master-planned by Southeast Venture. The development also includes two condominium buildings, a multifamily complex with ground-floor retail, and a collection of 49 single-family townhomes. Barracuda Taco Stand will join Brotherly Love Cheesesteaks as the two newest dining concepts at Silo Studios.
“We love the location we’ve found in the Nations. Also, we enjoy and respect so many of the hospitality businesses in the area, and are really excited to add great tacos, margs, and year round outdoor dining to the choices in this great neighborhood,” Jones stated in an email.
Specializing in Sonoran-style tortillas, a no-frills menu, and inclusive options for vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free, and meat lovers alike, Barracuda Taco Stand is sure to become a favorite for many in the area. The restaurant will serve mouthwatering margaritas, quesadillas, homemade salsas, guacamole, queso, bowls, and 6 different tacos to anchor its offerings, according to its online menu.
“We believe that food should be prepared simply – and along with great drinks – foster fun and memorable experiences for a diverse community of people. Quality, fresh tortillas are the foundation of our menu, and the first thing we consider when thinking of new dishes. Our menu is inspired by personal experiences at classic taquerias throughout Mexico and the American Southwest. We aim to keep things accessible & unfussy, and to make it easy to have great tacos in a laid-back environment,” Jones shared.
Stay tuned for Barracuda’s Music City debut next spring. Until then, customers can keep up to date with the business through its Instagram and website.
