PennePazze, which first opened in Nashville’s L&L Market in 2020, serves pasta and Roman-style pizza, or pinsa, alongside an extensive wine list and beer offerings. Menu options include carbonara pasta, ravioli de ragu, pinsa pazza and pinsa funghi.
It has been expanding recently, opening at The Fountains at Gateway in Murfreesboro last year. It also has another spot in the works in Franklin.
“We didn’t plan to open a Germantown location, but we came across this beautiful opportunity in Starling and we decided to do it as well,” owner Rony Stark said. “We decided to put another footstep in the city of Nashville.”
The new spot at Starling will serve as a brand expansion for PennePazze as it will introduce several new concepts not found at the other locations. For example, it will include a small Italian market where customers can purchase PennePazze products. It will also be the first location to feature a full bar with a cocktail menu.
“It will be an elevated PennePazze experience to feed the Germantown crowd, and we’re very excited about it,” Stark said.
Stark anticipates a fall 2025 opening. Ultimately, Stark aims to scale PennePazze into a national brand with 100 locations across the U.S.
PennePazze will be joining other concepts, including Solidcore, Kyuramen, Toastique, Social Cantina and Retrograde Coffee, on the tenant list for the ground-floor retail space of the 359-unit multifamily development. Toastique has already opened and the other concepts are expected to open in the coming months.
