Although an exact opening date in April has not yet been announced, it’s expected that the restaurant may be open by late April or even early May.

The downtown location will be at 140 3rd Ave N. The Metro Development and Housing Agency Design Review Committee approved the exterior concept plan for the restaurant space a few months ago, and since then construction has been moving along quickly to prepare for the spring opening.

As stated in the press release, “Black Tap Nashville will open in the heart of the city’s downtown at 140 3rd Ave. N., just steps away from Broadway’s renowned music venues, honky-tonk bars, and cultural attractions. Chef Saas will incorporate many of the region’s distinct local flavors into the menu, pairing these ‘Only in Nashville’ creations with Black Tap favorites such as the New York City Wine & Food Festival’s Burger Bash winner, the Wagyu Steakhouse Burger, and fan front-runner Korean BBQ Wings.”

The restaurant describes itself as “the new take on a classic burger joint.” The menu offers something for everyone, from signature burgers like the All-American, The Falafel Burger, along with chicken sandwiches, burger salads, wings, snacks and sides, and its uniquely named CrazyShake, which has reached “worldwide acclaim with its whimsical and over-the-top flavors such as the Sweet N’ Salty, the Brooklyn Blackout and The Vegan Black ‘N White Cakeshake,” states the release.

The restaurant is sure to draw a crowd of both locals and tourists with its proximity to downtown, unique burger offerings, and NYC-inspired atmosphere.
