The seafood restaurant will take over an 11,700-square-foot space in the River North development south of Oracle Campus and across from the Oxbow and Wayward apartment complexes, according to a release obtained by What Now Nashville.
The 6,200 square feet of interior space will seat 196, and a waterfront outdoor bar and exterior space will total 5,500 square feet and seat 203. The design, spearheaded by Grizform Design Architects and And Wiser, will offer a blend of New England and Chesapeake Bay features as well as several touches of Tennessee charm.
The Nashville location will be the fourth for The Salt Line, which currently has three locations: Washington, D.C.; Ballston, Virginia; and Bethesda, Maryland. The restaurant is part of Long Shot Hospitality’s portfolio, a hospitality brand led by chef Kyle Bailey.
“We’re excited to open our first location outside of the D.C. region and bring to Nashville a blend of New England favorites like fried clam bellies, stuffies and lobster rolls, alongside our Chesapeake favorites like pimento crab dip and fried soft shell blue crabs,” Bailey said in the release. “We’re especially excited to get to know local farmers and incorporate fresh, Tennessean ingredients into our menu, all while continuing our commitment to sustainable seafood and expanding our relationships with our oyster farmers. We can’t wait to bring our passion for coastal dining to this beautiful new city.”
The beverage program will include New England-based craft beers, an extensive wine list and a specialty cocktail program featuring highlights like Blue Cheese Martini and Cape Codder G&T.
