Lechtanski and Nasby were neighbors turned friends who had bounced business ideas off each other for years before settling on JamBox. Nasby, owner of Cledis Burgers & Beer Garden, initially connected with Fait la Force’s Parker Loudermilk to coordinate selling the brewery’s beers in his restaurant. They talked about making the sandwich shop a permanent fixture in the taproom, and Lechtanski would come on board as the operating director.
Since then, JamBox has solidified its brand and concept. The name “JamBox” is a nod to the custom jams featured on each sandwich as well as to the ‘80s and ‘90s-themed names for each of the 10 sandwiches on JamBox’s menu. There will also be specialty sandwich items on rotation.
What Now Nashville connected with Lechtanski.
“Shane and I wanted to develop a food program, and we wanted to design it in a way that would be fun and engaging,” said Lechtanski. “We want people to be excited about our food, so we have developed unique flavor profiles that you won’t typically find in sandwiches. Jambox also has a signature jam that shines through in all of our menu items.”
According to Lechtanski, Fait la Force Brewing does have a small kitchen on-site, but JamBox plans to outfit the space with everything needed to properly kickoff the concept. There will be no construction done to the space, but new equipment will be added to accommodate the expanded food program.
“JamBox is coming to Fait la Force Brewing to complement its great selection of local beers,” Lechtanski said. “We hope to provide people already familiar with the brewery a great sandwich, and we also hope to draw sandwich lovers to the brewery. There is a great view of the city from inside the brewery and from the outdoor seating area. We are excited to get JamBox started here.”
JamBox’s hours of operation are Tuesday and Wednesday from 4 – 9 p.m., and Thursday – Sunday from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. The sandwich concept will also offer catering services.
JamBox Sandwich Shop is set to open on June 19.
