A grand-opening date has yet to be confirmed, however, it’s likely to be toward the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024.

Billy Dec is no stranger to the Nashville foodie scene, as he already owns a number of popular restaurants including Sunda New Asian in The Gulch. The new Underground Cocktail Club in Nashville will be the second location of the ’20s-themed bar, joining the original location in Chicago.

“While the world shut down in 2020, I began to do a lot of research with our advertising agency COACT, projecting what the future might look like by going back in time to the roaring twenties. Fascinated by evolutions in music, cocktails, fashion, and women’s expression – it inspired me to create Cocktail Club, and then I learned about the history of Printer’s Alley in the twenties and it all fit together perfectly,” Dec originally told The Tennessean.

The menu of Underground Cocktail Club is expected to serve a full bar offering creatively named libations, such as the “Raspberry Smash,” a bourbon-based cocktail, and the “Good Karma,” which combines vodka, sake, and jalapeño.

The news comes on the heels of other recently announced restaurants being brought to Printers Alley, including the Black Market Bar and Grill from Birmingham. Unico Properties LLC has been revamping Printer’s Alley in the hopes of creating an appealing restaurant destination in close proximity to the bustle of popular Broadway bars.
