Peg Leg Porker has been family-owned and operated since day one. The business was founded by pitmaster Carey Bringle in 2013.
Known for its West-Tennessee-style pork and chicken BBQ, Peg Leg Porker is creating a new hub for another segment of their sales: bourbon. Peg Leg Porker Tasting Room is opening soon in the Berry Hill area. Per the brand’s website, Peg Leg Porker Bourbon is the only bourbon brand owned by a pitmaster. The bourbon is sold at speciality liquor stores in Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and in the U.K.
According to a post on Peg Leg Porker Spirits’ Instagram page, the opening date for the Tasting Room will be on July 6.
Peg Leg Porker Tennessee Straight Bourbon White Label recently was named the “World’s Best Whiskey” according to the 2023 Tasting Alliance World Championship. Visitors to the Peg Leg Porker Tasting Room will soon be able to enjoy the spirit and learn about its flavoring from the people behind it.
A feature article on Nashville Guru provides an inside-tour of the Tasting Room. The is a corner bar where guests will be able to sample Peg Leg Porker’s bourbon. In addition to offering flights and cocktails, Peg Leg Porker has a bottling operation at the back of the facility to produce bottles on site.
Guests will also be able to reserve the space for private tours and tastings.
