Owner and chef Frank Pullara is opening a second location of the concept in the Nashville Yards multi-use development. Nashville Yards covers 19 acres and features over 350,000 square-feet of retail space with more 7,000 parking spaces. Culaccino will be at the corner of Commerce and 9th Avenue North, at the bottom of the 35-story Emory Tower.

A press release for the new location states that Culaccino’s space will be about 6,700 square-feet. Ceilings will be 20 feet tall and there will be a patio area for outdoor dining.

The word “culaccino” is the Italian term for the impression a cold glass leaves on a wooden table. Pullara aims to replicate that sense of “leaving an impression” by creating a welcoming atmosphere that those who pass through won’t forget. He and his team serve homemade dishes that are reminiscent of his childhood.

In addition to owning Culaccino, Pullara also owns seafood restaurant Culamar, formerly called Bestia Mare.

A representative for Culaccino confirmed the restaurant’s plans to open in the summer of 2025. What Now Nashville was not immediately able to reach chef and owner Frank Pullara for a comment.

In a press release, Pullara shared his thoughts on the development of a second location.

“We are excited to venture into the vibrant Nashville market and extend our presence with a prime Nashville Yards location,” said Pullara. “This expansion presents us with a wonderful opportunity to introduce our menu to guests who are seeking an authentic taste of Italy in the heart of Music City.”

Dishes served at Culaccino include ravioli, 72-hour fermented wood-fired pizzas and appetizers alongside an extensive cocktail menu.

Culaccino is set to open in the summer of 2025.
