Due to the process still being early in the construction stage, it’s unknown when an opening timeline might be for the new spot. Permits reference the addition of a new pizza oven hood, and because the two restaurant concepts were similar to begin with, if there are any other renovations to the building they are expected to be very minimal. The restaurant might open doors to customers as early as this fall or winter.

A website and social media presence is in the works for the upcoming restaurant. Customers may anticipate wood-fired pizza, pasta, sandwiches, salad, and other classic Italian fare on the menu for Slice of Italy, though the official offerings are not yet confirmed. Slice of Italy will neighbor many of Hillsboro Village’s popular restaurants and retailers, including Biscuit Love, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Greenery Co., and Hopdoddy Burger Bar.

Farhod Usmanov is listed as the owner of the new Italian concept. The business owner also oversees a local transportation company. It’s likely that Slice of Italy is Usmanov’s entrance into the food industry.

What Now Nashville reached out to Usmanov for comment but the owner was not immediately available.
