The projected timeline for relocating both concepts to Fogg St. in The Gulch is within a few months, aiming for summertime. An exact reopening date is forthcoming.

“We are humbled to play a part in the next chapter of the iconic Catbird Seat here in Nashville,” shares Chefs Andy Doubrava and Tiffani Ortiz in the release. “We’ve already started exploring and preserving southeastern ingredients and are very excited to share our interpretation of the region’s food in the new restaurant space. We are so grateful to our good friend Brian Baxter for passing on the torch, and to Max, Ben, and Josh of Strategic Hospitality for their trust in our vision.”

Since opening its doors in 2011, The Catbird Seat has served as a chef incubator and a platform for chefs to express their culinary creativity. This exciting announcement not only marks the beginning of a new chapter for the restaurant, but also signals the approaching conclusion of Chef Brian Baxter’s tenure as the fifth iteration executive chef. During his four years at The Catbird Seat, Chef Baxter has exemplified creativity, hospitality, and graciousness. Making the restaurant his own, Baxter has lovingly crafted his menu as a celebration of ingredients with an emphasis on sustainability and those sourced at the peak of the season.

In anticipation of this exciting new chapter, Chefs Andy Doubrava and Tiffani Ortiz will be hosting a series of pop-ups for a sneak peek of what’s to come, including collaborative dinners with Chef Brian Baxter at The Catbird Seat. Until the move, Strategic Hospitality invites guests to savor the unique experiences at The Catbird Seat and The Patterson House at their original location, 1711 Division Street, with reservations for The Catbird Seat available through SevenRooms and walk-in availability at The Patterson House.
