What Now Nashville connected with Austin Jo of On;Da to learn more.

Jo shared that he and his family have run many restaurants over the years, but opening a location in the heart of Nashville has been a long-time dream.

“When people go for a date night, they typically think of going to a steak restaurant,” said Jo. “We want to expand people’s dining options for special occasions and introduce them to authentic Korean foods that go beyond barbecue or fried chicken.”

On;Da’s mission statement reads: “Our belief is not just about serving food, but ultimately about creating a ‘good time’.”

With a menu of small pales like bulgogi yaki udon, bossam and vegetable dumplings and larger plates of mushrooms, meats and noodles; good times are inevitable for guests who order a selection of dishes to share with their table. The cocktail menu includes a lychee martini, soju-based drinks and classic cocktails as well.

Jo shared that there will be seating for 150 people between indoor and outdoor spaces. There is also a 40-person private party room that can be rented out for larger gatherings.

While the restaurant recently began serving food, signs are not yet up. Permits filed with the city indicate plans for several signs, some of which will be illuminated to let passersby know day or night about the establishment.

Jo mentioned potential plans to expand On;Da to other locations in the future.
