The new restaurant concept will open later this year and is slated to have similar menu items to its Tex-Mex sister, with its own original spin.

The future name of the restaurant will be either “Butchertown Market” or “Cantene by Butchertown.” An exact grand-opening date is unknown.

The location of Butchertown Hall in Germantown has been in operation since 2015 and serves BBQ and Tex-Mex fusion cuisine. Best known for their wood-fired premium cuts of meat, craft tacos and roasted oysters, Butchertown claims the finest smoked brisket outside of Austin, according to its website.

It’s unknown exactly what style of food the sister project is aiming to focus on at the Wedgewood-Houston location.

The project plan for the build-out of the restaurant shows an expansive dining space, which includes the ground-floor dining room, full-service liquor bar, raw bar and its fourth-story rooftop bar and dining space.

“I don’t want it to be a second Butchertown Hall. But we’re using our team, so there will be some overlap in the menus,” Raley originally told the Nashville Post.

Amaranth Hospitality Group also operates Liberty Common and The Pharmacy Burger Parlor & Beer Garden in Nashville.
