The bakery is owned by Amy Cornell, and has a set grand opening for March 25. Cornell is currently testing the bakery’s menu ahead of the opening, and every Friday until March 25, plans to give away free samples of gluten-free baked goods at the storefront in order to raise awareness of the upcoming opening while also giving back to the community.

“I’m most excited about seeing others with celiac or gluten intolerance being able to eat pastries and baked goods that actually taste good, and are 100% safe from any cross-contamination,” Cornell told What Now Nashville.

The Gluten Free Goose has even been certified by The Gluten-Free Food Program, which is is recognized as the most comprehensive and practical gluten-free certification program endorsed by The National Celiac Association. Cornell said that there will be some vegan and dairy-free options on the menu, though the focus will be on gluten-free offerings.

Cornell told What Now Nashville that there won’t be any catering or wholesale of the menu, however, there will be an option to order cakes ahead of time for special occasions like birthdays, she said. Inside the storefront, there will be four tables available for seating.

The menu will change weekly, and offer a variety of uniquely flavored cakes, such as red velvet cream cheese, strawberries and cream, funfetti, apple cinnamon, chocolate hazelnut, and even a Hostess inspired cake.

“My favorite menu item currently is oreo cheesecake for this week, it’s mixed with fresh oreo crumbs inside and has a delicious whipped cream on top,” Cornell said.

The bakery will be one of few gluten-free establishments in the Nashville area and aims to greatly expand accessibility for people with this food sensitivity.
