According to a press release, Tex-Mex franchise Capital Tacos will join Music City’s culinary landscape soon, thanks to a recently signed franchise agreement between the brand and owner Doug Morgan, a veteran of the QSR franchise space with over 30 years of experience.
Currently, the deal is for a single unit to be brought to Nashville, but Morgan tells What Now Nashville that he’s open to the idea of expanding with multiple locations in the future. The exact opening timeline of the first location is forthcoming.
Morgan spoke with What Now Nashville about the expansion and described that he’s going to look into the Hendersonville area first, as it’s close to home. However, the first location will largely depend on availability in the market.
“Capitol Tacos originated out of Tampa and has a really unique take on tacos, everything is made to order. It’s definitely an elevated take on the concept of doing a fresh taco restaurant like this. Tacos happen to be my favorite food, and the quality of everything offered at this brand is top-notch,” Morgan said in a phone call.
The Capital Tacos online menu includes fries, chips and salsa, queso, Mexican street corn, quesadillas, nachos, burrito bowls, salads, and over 13 different tacos to choose from, all at an affordable price.
Founded in 2013 by Josh Luger, the Capital Tacos brand now reaches over seven states and is looking to expand even further through the help of its franchise program launched last year.
“Doug’s passion and experience for the restaurant industry will make him an exceptional addition to our franchise family, and a valued restaurateur in his home community,” Luger said in the release.
