Keke’s Breakfast Cafe specializes in all things breakfast. Be it made-to-order eggs or signature plates, Keke’s serves breakfast and lunch with fresh, high-quality ingredients.

Mashed took a deep dive into the history of the brand to reveal that Keke’s got its name thanks to its founders, brothers Kevin and Keith Mahen. The duo combined their names, joined forces, and built a breakfast empire in Florida.

The breakfast chain was purchased by Denny’s in 2022 and has since explored new avenues of growth, including opening stores beyond Florida’s borders. Now, Keke’s leaders like president David Schmidt are seeing years of planning taking shape as new stores are opening their doors.

According to reporting by What Now Tampa, Keke’s Breakfast Cafe has recently grown to over 50 locations, most of which are in Florida.

In an email exchange with What Now Nashville, a representative from Keke’s confirmed the chain’s latest plans.

“We’re looking forward to growing our presence in the Nashville area following our Hendersonville and Gallatin cafe openings- the first outside the state of Florida,” said a representative for Keke’s. “We’ve loved getting to know the neighborhoods we serve and partnering with Habitat for Humanity, Lakeside Park Elementary in Hendersonville, Sumner County CASA and Foster Families Assistance Network.”

Keke’s Capitol View is scheduled to open later this year or in early 2025.
