What Now Nashville spoke to Ottinger about the anticipation around the opening of the new location.

“Another Broken Egg has been in operation since 1996, first starting in Louisiana. I’ve personally opened 36 locations, and Brentwood will be the 5th location I’ll have ownership of. We’ve had around 30 to 40 people a day asking if this location has opened yet, so it’s been exciting to get closer to opening,” Ottinger said in a phone interview. The plan is to open the location near the end of the month.

Ottinger also explained that Brentwood was Another Broken Egg’s ideal spot being looked at as a great neighborhood for the new location to thrive in.

“We’re so excited to be expanding in the area. I used to live in Nashville for ten years, so the city is like a second home to me. I also operate the locations in Downtown Nashville and Sylvan Park, and I’m looking forward to making the Brentwood location a very family-focused restaurant. The neighborhood of Brentwood is a great submarket of Nashville, and the shopping center we will open in has been around for a while in the heart of Brentwood. I’m very excited about the opportunity. The decor in the Brentwood location will be top-notch, and very southern-inspired,” Ottinger said.

In terms of the menu, the restaurant will offer a full bar, including unique spins on classic brunch cocktails such as a blueberry margarita and a hot pepper-infused bloody mary.

“The menu itself at Another Broken Egg is separated from our competition because we really strive to use quality, fresh ingredients for our Southern-inspired dishes. We also pride ourselves in the Southern hospitality we show our customers. I’d say our shrimp and grits is probably our most popular dish on the menu,” Ottinger told What Now Nashville.

Before officially opening, the restaurant plans to open its doors on March 18 for a special fundraising opportunity, in an effort to give back to the community as well as spread the word about its upcoming opening.

“We are hosting a pre-opening event on March 18th, from 8 A.M. to 2 P.M., inviting guests to reserve spots to indulge in complimentary food to give back to the community while supporting the Jordan Thomas Foundation, which works to support children in need of prosthetics. We’ll be asking customers to kindly make donations in place of the bill,” said Ottinger.

Customers can visit Another Broken Egg’s website and social media for more information about the upcoming opening.
