The location of The Barnyard Bar is listed as 1034 4th Ave South, in between the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood and Southern Broadway. According to construction permits, interior renovations to the existing building are currently ongoing. Michael Winters is listed as the business owner on the application submitted to the County Clerk’s office.

An opening timeline is unknown, as the process is still in the very beginning stages of development. There is no website or social media created yet for The Barnyard Bar.

Owner Michael Winters is also the founder of a local party bus company, known as the popular tourist attraction The Nashville Tractor. The company offers public and private party tours of Downtown Nashville and includes a dance floor, beer and seltzers sold on the tractor, and a professional tractor driver “fresh off the farm,” according to its website.

Given the name of the new bar, and the success of Winters’s party bus company, it’s expected that the concept of The Barnyard Bar will match a similar country aesthetic of The Nashville Tractor, but in a brick-and-mortar setting rather than on wheels.

What Now Nashville reached out to Michael Winters, but did not immediately hear back.
