Recently filed permits show the space at 121B 12th Ave N., previously home to Tansuo until last month, will now be occupied by a new concept called Choy. Although the details of the incoming restaurant are still developing, there’s been a new Yelp page created for the business, showing a logo and an old phone number for Tansuo. An official website has yet to be created.

Choy is likely to feature Asian-influenced cuisine like its predecessor Tansuo, however, meu details have not been confirmed. A permit filed with Metro last week indicates a $600,000 interior build-out will include demo of the restaurant’s existing space, with no change to the original footprint. Architectural renderings show the 6,499-square-foot space will include two stories with a second-floor bar, a separate space for private dining events, a first-floor wine bar, and plenty of open seating in a main dining section.

The Nashville Business Journal reports that the ownership of the new concept is associated with Moni Advani, a local real estate developer and investor of Morph Hospitality with Maneet Chauhan, however, representatives of Morph stated they are not involved with Choy.

Customers can keep updated for additional details as they unfold. What Now Nashville reached out to Advani for comment, but did not receive a response by the time of publication. This article will be updated with more information as it is revealed.
