A new all-day cafe called Dapper Owl will open this spring at 2412 East Main Street in the Nashville suburb of Murfreesboro. Though an official grand opening date has not yet been announced, the cafe has been posting teasers to its Instagram and Facebook about its soon-to-come opening and what customers can expect on the menu.
As stated in a recent Facebook post, the business is waiting on its parking lot permitting to be approved before being able to share the official grand opening date. The location of the Dapper Owl will be near Middle Tennesee State University, which is sure to attract plenty of college students as customers. Dapper Owl has already partnered with MTSU Athletics, according to its website, and plans to be a community-centered cafe.
Owner Tracy Terrell, her colleague Nina and her daughter Emily are the women-run team behind Dapper Owl. The concept will be a study-friendly coffee house by day and an event venue serving craft beer and live music by night with a focus on supporting local brands, including using Frothy Monkey espresso. Some of the specialty lattes offered include The Wicked Lady, combining espresso with sweetened condensed milk and cinnamon, as well as the Bonfire Night, which has maple syrup, cinnamon, and caramel flavors.
The food offerings will include British-inspired savory hand pies, avocado toast, breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and paninis all made in-house from scratch.
When deciding on “Dapper Owl,” the name of the business came from multiple inspirations. “After many years of residing in England, Dapper Owl combines Tracy’s love of coffee shops and pubs. The name is inspired by her daughter’s nickname (Owlet) and the ‘dapper vibe’ – being cool and stylish,” states the Dapper Owl site.
The space will include a small stage for live music, a private meeting room for up to 10 people, and plenty of indoor seating. Keep up to date with the opening of Dapper Owl on its social media.
