It’s expected to be open as early as 2025, which is quicker than the initial timeline In-N-Out announced in January, according to a June 12 Williamson County, Inc. meeting with its chamber of commerce and economic development teams.

In late 2024, construction will begin on the corporate headquarters office and restaurant, stated Matt Largen, president and CEO of Williamson, Inc., who laid out the timeline for the In-N-Out development in Franklin while seeking approval for a tax break from county commissioners on June 12.

“We are going to have a restaurant nearby on the same property. That was important to us because the people that are working there are allowed to come and eat at our restaurant free of charge every day. It’s part of our company values,” said Mike Abbate, VP of Real Estate for In-N-Out, during the June 12 meeting.

Company officials revealed that the 100,000-square-foot, three-story office will serve as a base of operations for In-N-Out Burger’s expansion to the eastern half of the United States, states The Tennessean.

It’s estimated that the development will bring more than 275 jobs to the community, according to a state Department of Economic and Community Development news release. In-N-Out as a company is known for its well-rounded employee benefits, frequent raises and promotions, above-minimum wage pay, and good company culture.

Founded in 1948 in California by Harry Snyder, In-N-Out offers a variety of classic American comfort food items including burgers, cheeseburgers, fries, soda, milkshakes, and a secret menu ordering system that results in the popular “animal-style,” which includes mustard fried into each patty, pickles, chopped grilled onions and an extra helping of In-N-Out’s famous sauce.

A representative of In-N-Out could not be immediately reached for comment. What Now Nashville will continue following In-N-Out’s expansion efforts in Tennessee as its arrival gets closer.
