Although an official grand opening date is not yet confirmed, the location should be open later this year, by end of summer at the earliest if permitting and construction efforts allow. The process of opening the Franklin location has been delayed from its previously slated timeline, according to Luis Cortes, franchise owner of the Woodbine, Nolensville, and upcoming Mt. Juliet locations of Red Bicycle.

“It’s a bit further out than initially planned – likely next year,” Cortes told What Now Nashville in an email.

Red Bicycle Coffee was founded in North Carolina, acquired, and relocated to Nashville by current CEO David Trett. Trett is a former athlete turned businessman, with a vision of giving those around him an opportunity to achieve The American Dream, and often works with immigrants like Cortes, a native of Mexico.

Along with a variety of coffee and tea beverages, Red Bicycle is known for its extensive breakfast and lunch menu, offering sweet and savory crepes, pastries sandwiches, burritos, and tacos. Operating hours at each location vary, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays, and 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Sundays. The new Franklin location is expected to operate under similar hours.

“We are looking into adding more salads, burgers, and smoothies. We may even be bringing in a new ice cream component to the business,” Mancuso originally told The Tennessean about his plans for the Franklin Red Bicycle.

What Now Nashville reached out to Manusco for comment, but did not receive a response at the time of publication.
