According to recent signage, Nashville’s own HoneyFire BBQ is expanding with a location inside of Broadway’s Assembly Food Hall, which was recently named seventh in the top 10 list of best food halls in the country, according to USA Today. The address of the hall is 5055 Broadway, just steps away from Music City’s world-famous Honky Tonks.
HoneyFire prides itself on creating a unique barbecue experience that customers won’t find elsewhere, putting heart and soul into every bite. Owner and founder Ben Claybaker is behind the expansion, bringing the business’s second location to downtown after opening its flagship store in 2018 in Bellevue.
The restaurant is currently hiring for team members, indicating an opening date is coming soon. Claybaker explained that the store is waiting on a few inspections this week and hopes to open within the month.
“HoneyFire Barbeque Co. family-owned restaurant is known for our modern, upscale Nashville twist to the best of traditional barbeque,” states its website. Some notable menu options include appetizers like brisket queso, baby back egg rolls filled with smoked baby back rib meat, creamy coleslaw, and HoneyFire Original sauce, side dishes like parmesan green beans, and a variety of handcrafted sandwiches and dinner plates to build-your-own meal from.
“Being born in Texas, brisket will always be my favorite. My favorite pork dish is the Southern Shine sandwich. It includes my wife’s granddad’s pimento cheese on top with a fried green tomato. So many flavors and they go perfectly together,” Claybaker told What Now Nashville.
