Jack in the Box announced a 37-unit development deal with Cedar Tree Restaurant Group in the southeast. As reported by RestaurantNews.com, the deal is the largest franchise agreement the fast-food chain has signed in recent years.
Behind Cedar Tree Restaurant Group are owners Frank Conley and Jeff Yablun who are eager to expand the Jack in the Box brand across Nashville, TN, Baton Rouge, LA, Greenville, SC, and Charlotte, NC.
Jack in the Box is the first brand in the group’s portfolio of restaurants but the two are said to be industry veterans with experience in multi-unit franchising.
In addition to adding 37 new restaurants, Cedar Tree Restaurant Group will reportedly take over 46 existing units in the region.
Jack in the Box operates more than 2,200 quick-serve restaurants in 21 states and serves half a billion guests annually. There are currently only three locations in the state of Tennessee.
