According to permits, The Dirty Monkey sports bar will be opening its first mainland location outside of Hawaii early next year in Madison, Tennessee. The address of the new location will be 701 Gallatin Pike N. in the space of the former Smeraldo’s Italian restaurant.
Pending construction and permitting, the new location has an opening timeline of eight months, according to co-owner Alen Aivazian, who gave some insight into why the team chose Madison, Tennessee as its first location to expand out of Maui.
Aivazian told What Now Nashville that the decision was an easy one. Three former employees from one of Aivazian’s restaurants in California relocated to Madison, Tennessee, and inspired Aivazian to visit the town as a potential place to expand. After experiencing great hospitality and a welcoming community in Madison, the rest is history.
The Dirty Monkey Maui is a local institution offering daily live music, beachfront scenic views, and a variety of beers on draft as well as an award-winning whiskey list. Its food menu includes pot stickers, mini tacos, popcorn shrimp, fried cheese curds, burgers, and salads.
The Madison location of The Dirty Monkey may be missing the beachfront Maui views, but the menu and vibe of the new location will be similar to its original location.
Although an exact grand opening date has not yet been determined, The Dirty Monkey Madison may open as soon as early 2024. Keep up to date with the progress of the new location on its Instagram and website.
