According to a recently signed lease agreement, Switchyards, the unique membership-based coworking space offering bottomless coffee, tea, and stroopwafels, is expanding again in Music City. News of a second location comes on the heels of its first location’s grand opening last September in a renovated historic church located at 1101 Chapel Ave.

A 5-year lease has been signed for Switchyards’ new location to occupy tenant space inside the mixed-use development, Laurel & Pine, located at 905 Cherokee Ave. in East Nashville. A tentative opening timeline for the new location may be within a few months, though an exact grand opening date is unknown.

Lauren & Pine offers over 24,000 square feet of restaurant, retail, and office space next to its corresponding residential apartment complex called The Flats. Its other tenants include the recently opened Frankies 457 Spuntino Italian eatery and pizzeria.

Founded in 2016 by CEO Michael Tavani, Switchyards got its start in Atlanta, where it currently has 10 locations. Nashville is the only other city the brand has expanded to so far. Memberships to access Switchyards’ 24/7 workspace with free unlimited locally-sourced coffee, hot tea, stroopwafels, private meeting rooms, and fast internet come at a $100 monthly fee.

According to its Nashville webpage, Switchyards is currently on a waitlist for accepting new members, which could be a possible reason for its expansion with another location in East Nashville.

“We’re inspired by the culture, creativity, and the substance we see happening in this city.” Tavani said in a press release announcing Nashville’s first Switchyards. “From our perspective, East Nashville is at the epicenter—it’s what makes this city special,” Tavani added.

Stay tuned for additional updates regarding Switchyards’ second Music City location on its website and Instagram page.
