According to a new business application filed with the Davidson County Clerk’s Office this week, a new Italian eatery will soon join Donelson Pike, offering an address of 329 Donelson Pike #303 from a local family of entrepreneurs. Salento Italia is currently hiring staff members and is likely to open within a month or two, however, an exact grand opening date is forthcoming.

The new restaurant and bar are spearheaded by brothers Sam and Bill Darsinos, who also own Greko Greek Street Food, Darfons Restaurant and Lounge, and the recently opened SweetMilk, also located on Donelson Pike, in collaboration with Patrick Martin of Martin’s BBQ. The Donelson area has seen an abundance of growth recently as the future home to new businesses like Condado Tacos and Hattie Jane’s Creamery.

The authentic Italian restaurant is expected to serve a wide variety of handcrafted cocktails from its recently approved beer board application, alongside authentic pasta and other Italian cuisine. Specific menu details are to be determined.

According to its recently created website, Salento Italia is described as “a cozy, new neighborhood Italian restaurant and bar welcoming guests soon!”

What Now Nashville reached out to Bill and Sam with a request for comment, but did not receive a response by the time of publication. This article will be updated with additional details including menu information and an opening timeline when it becomes available.
