PDK Southern Kitchen and Pantry recently pushed back the opening date for their third location to the spring, ideally at the end of March, after a pipe burst from the nationwide winter cold front in December delayed the original January opening goal.

The Nashville-based restaurant and marketplace offers traditional Southern-style American food, including hot chicken, burgers, wraps, sandwiches and desserts like banana pudding, for both lunch and dinner service.

Peter Demos, founder and owner of PDK Kitchen, told What Now Nashville about their revised plans for opening.

“We are waiting for materials to come in for the grand opening, expected around late March. We’re also looking for managers to expand to other Nashville locations, as well as we are exploring potential franchising possibilities,” Demos said in an email.

Known for their charitable contributions to the community, PDK offers a partner program in order to sell local products with a “greater good” initiative, and also supports local schools and non-profits through hosting “spirit nights” at the restaurant, where a portion of the proceeds benefit the school or non-profit.

“PDK supports local charities and ministries through both our Gathering for Good and Pantry Partner programs. Community involvement has been at the heart of all of our Demos Brands restaurants, and we are committed to continuing the tradition of service at PDK,” its website states.

The newest location, which will be at 4116 Charlotte Ave, sits inside the Sylvan Heights neighborhood. With the original two locations of PDK Kitchen being in Mt. Juliet and Bellevue, the Sylvan Heights location will offer a more centrally-located restaurant to bridge the gap between the distance of its other two restaurants.

“This is a great mixed-use area. We are in a great location to serve food and gifts to people in both residential areas as well as serve businesses with box-lunch catering,” Demos said about the Sylvan Heights location.
