Local franchisees and husband-and-wife team Ashley and Landon Clark are ushering forth a new generation of Kilwins stores across the region, with Downtown Nashville included. The new chocolate and sweets shop will open at 299 Demonbreun St. in August 2024, according to Ashley.
With over a decade of ownership experience, Ashley knows the Kilwins brand through and through and is excited to show Nashville what it’s all about. The nearby suburb of Franklin was the first to see a Kilwins store open in 2021 from the Clarks, who started franchising locations in North Carolina, where they currently operate five locations.
When asked about their expansion plans for the future, Ashley said the goal goes beyond just one location.
“We’re just getting started in Nashville…it’s the first of several Kilwins in Nashville and we’ll be open late 7 days a week! It’s our family business and we’re proud to live and work in middle Tennessee and expand our business here,” Ashley stated in an email.
Though the additional future locations planned for greater Nashville have not yet been revealed, the Clarks are likely to choose the upcoming spots strategically, as they did with the Downtown Nashville location. Ashley noted that they chose Demonbreun for its vibrant market, perfect for Kilwins.
Ashley described the Kilwins menu as offering a wide variety of “Chocolates, fudge, ice cream, milkshakes, caramel apples, popcorn, brittles, pralines, chocolate strawberries, and more!” According to the Kilwins website, the brand controls all stages of making and delivering its products to ensure the highest quality products possible.
