Paradeisos got its start in 2022 as a way to “provide employment, dignity, and healing to a person familiar with homelessness and the hardships of life,” through a subscription-based coffee service, its website states. CEO of the Christian-affiliated non-profit People Loving Nashville, Ryan Lampa, is behind the expansion of the brand. PLN was founded in 2008 and now offers three different programs: its street program, homefullness program, and restoration program.

In an Instagram post announcing the new storefront, Lampa is shown in a video discussing how Paradeisos Coffee Shop supports the original goals envisioned for PLN.

“We are beyond thrilled to watch how God is opening this door for us to create more low-barrier job opportunities for those in our Restoration Program,” the caption of the post explains.

A building permit for the space notes mostly interior cosmetic upgrades will be made, with no changes to the footprint of the building. Painting, wall tile, trim, new tables, new chairs, new lights on existing track light bars, changing out a plug for an appliance, and relocating a few wall plugs to a seating bench are described in the permit.

Keep up to date for additional info, including an opening date, on the Paradeisos website and Instagram page.
