Although an official grand opening date is too far out to determine, construction has begun and openings for each concept will begin in phases starting this year, states the release.

PBR Cowboy Bar, named after the fastest-growing spectator sport in the country, Professional Bull Riders, will offer multiple full bars, mechanical bull riding, and live music at its new Nashville location.

“PBR Nashville will be the 14th PBR Cowboy Bar nationwide.  The concept continues to thrive as our sport continues to thrive. Making this venue extra special is twofold, from having the Nashville Stampede – world champions in the first season of PBR Teams — within waking distance as they compete at Bridgestone Arena, and second, being part of the restoration of the historic George Jones building,” said spokesperson for PBR Cowboy Bar, Andrew Giangola, in an email.

PBR Cowboy Bar is sure to fit right in with the many country-themed honky tonk bars and venues on Lower Broadway, and with DraftKings joining the growing sports bar scene in the area, following closely behind the just-opened Barstool Sports restaurant and bar, it’s expected to become a night-out destination for both locals and tourists alike.

“With five levels of new-to-market brands including DraftKings and PBR, two of the most exciting names in sports and entertainment, we are creating a premier dining, entertainment, music and sports experience for downtown,” said Reed Cordish, principal of The Cordish Cos., in the release.

Keep up to date with the opening of PBR Cowboy Bar on its website.

Correction: This article has been updated to retract the inclusion of food, PBR Nashville will not be serving food.
