According to recent permits and confirmed by CEO Brandon Lin, Steam Boys is looking to open a new location in Franklin this fall. The address of the site is 4000 Longpoint Wy #400, and is likely to open by November if permitting and construction efforts are completed on time.
The fast-casual Chinese brand opened its first location in Germantown in 2019, founded by a group of friends with a dream of providing traditional comfort food that the area had previously been lacking. The Steam Boys’ executive roster includes Andy Le, Michael Olatunji “Tunji” Junard, Tao Xu, Hans Alcindor, Amber Nguyen, and Brandon Lin. Some of the team members have even traveled to China to learn the authentic art of dumpling and bao making to bring back to the business, according to a recent article in The Tennessean.
The locally-owned chain now operates 6 locations across the state, in Hermitage, Nolensville, Cleveland, inside of Assembly Food Hall, and an upcoming location opening soon at Harding Place in Nashville.
Steam Boys’ menu is anchored by its bao buns, dumplings, boba tea, and noodle soups. Some of its notable dishes include tiger milk boba tea, gua bao chicken cutlet, and zha jiang noodles.
