The yet-to-be-built retail and office project is projected to open by 2024 and a grand opening date for Sushi-san is expected to follow closely after. The address of the space will be 2206-2220 12th Ave. S

Sushi-san is owned by Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants, which is a Chicago-based hospitality group that has over 100 restaurants across the country. R.J. Melman, president of Lettuce Entertain You, is heading up the expansion.

“Following the success of Aba at Music Lane in Austin, we are excited to partner once again with Turnbridge Equities to bring Sushi-san to Nashville, Lettuce’s first restaurant in this market,” Melman said in a press release.

“Sushi-san is a neighborhood-driven concept and we feel that Ashwood 12 South will cater perfectly to the 12 South neighborhood and we are looking forward to being a part of it,” Melman said.

The restaurant is expected to offer a similar menu to its existing locations, serving popular dishes like coal-roasted lobster, sizzling rice dishes, maki hand-rolls, and sashimi and nigiri style sushi.
