The Factory at Franklin has recently revamped its facilities to host a wide array of local vendors and restaurants this past year, with more on the way. Anchoring its list of businesses will be its Grand Hall bar, named The Skylight Bar, which will be unveiled during a sold-out ticketed preview event on April 15.

The Skylight Bar will be The Factory’s own watering hole, a centralized point in the middle of the industrial shopping mall. It’s likely it will open to the public this spring, soon after the event next month is held, although an exact grand opening has not yet been confirmed.

Details of the bar are currently being unveiled after a lengthy construction timeline for the space took most of last year. The bar does not yet have a website or set menu available.

Heading up the expansive remodeling of The Factory at Franklin is Allen Arender of Holladay Properties. Holladay, which serves as the owner and operator of The Factory, is a hospitality development group that bought The Factory in October 2021 and has been in the process of redevelopment since 2022.

Falling under Holladay’s ownership, The Skylight Bar will focus on honoring The Factory’s industrial architecture and rich history through a patchwork ring of amber-colored glass panes and vellum on its ceiling, which honors the almost 100-year-old factory windows original to the former stove factory.

The menu at The Skylight Bar is expected to serve vintage-inspired cocktails including one named Quittin’ Thyme, made with artisanal gin infused with its namesake herb, as well as a smoky, spirit-forward Potbelly made with a Scotch and rye whiskey base, according to the Davidson County Source.
