Husband and wife duo Tony and Caroline Galzin, the owners of Nicky’s, are behind the new venture. The Maxwell Room is set to open this spring, although an exact grand opening date is forthcoming.

The venue will be an all-inclusive option for those looking for the perfect wedding space, corporate events, catered dinners, and more. The press release notes that instead of charging for the space, a food and beverage minimum must be met with no additional charges for staff, furniture, plates, or silverware. All food and beverage for the space will be coming from Nicky’s Coal Fired, an Italian restaurant and pizzeria. Catering options include entrees such as handmade pasta, roasted chicken picatta, an array of appetizers and salads, and tiramisu or mini cannolis for dessert. Custom desserts or cake options are also available upon request.

“Located on 51st street in The Nations, the space features a raw aesthetic with exposed brick, late 1800s refurbished hardwood floors and large, warehouse-style windows that give the space natural lighting. The openness of the space is conducive to a variety of furniture, whether it’s high tops or banquet tables, and includes a private room that can be utilized as a bridal suite. The rental also includes projectors, AV equipment and a stage, making the space adaptable and ready to celebrate any occasion,” the release states.

“We are thrilled to continue to expand our business in The Nations and open The Maxwell Room, which will be a versatile space to celebrate special events and milestones,” Caroline stated in the release. “It’s important to us to offer a special experience that is accessible to a variety of budgets, and create events that are custom tailored to each guest. We’ve been in The Nations for ten years, and we love being part of this community.” The Maxwell Room is currently taking bookings for this spring through 2025.
