An Instagram post shows a sneak peek of what customers can expect, including a late fall opening, outdoor games like cornhole and Jenga, craft beer on tap, cocktails and wine, as well as a family-friendly environment. The space will be two stories, with a main dining room downstairs, a bar upstairs, and a vast outdoor space.

Spearheading the new restaurant is owner Caleb Spearing of Syndicate & Co., a local hospitality and real estate developer. Spearing told What Now Nashville that the grand opening for the space is currently set for October 21. The company also owns and operates the Smyrna location of local favorite Red Bicycle coffee shop and has plans to open two other restaurant concepts this year, as stated on the Syndicate & Co. website.

“This is the first of its kind restaurant in the Smyrna area, we are excited to see the community coming out and enjoying our location as a new hangout spot that has great food and drinks yet is still family-friendly and community-oriented,” Alberto Villalobos, Director of Operations for Syndicate, told What Now Nashville.

Spearing also gave additional insight into the upcoming project, adding that if all goes to plan this will be the first of many The Print Shop restaurants. The goal is to open multiple locations that are just outside of major metropolises to emphasize the local, family-friendly environment, hence why downtown Smyrna was the perfect first location outside of Nashville.

The menu will showcase dishes across multiple genres, including bang bang shrimp, steak, salmon, and bar food like chicken tenders, pretzels with beer cheese, sandwiches, and salads. Handcrafted cocktails on the menu will also be curated to reflect the local area, alongside some classics like the Old Fashioned, ranging from $11-$14 a drink, Spearing explained.

Customers can stay tuned for additional updates about The Print Shop’s upcoming opening on its Instagram.
