Locally-owned business TailGate is brewing up something new this summer. Company officials announced in a press release that a new location will open in Murfreesboro at 210 Stones River Mall Blvd. within a few months. An exact opening date is forthcoming.
TailGate is well-known for its diverse assortment of year-round and rotating beers, including a peanut butter milk stout, orange wheat, and golden lager. Its seven current taproom locations are also popular spots for families and couples looking for a venue offering indoor and outdoor seating options, events like movie nights and trivia, and Detroit-style craft pizza.
“Murfreesboro has been far and away our most-requested taproom location, and we’ve been working on finding the perfect home here for years. The people of Murfreesboro, and all our retail partners in the area, have been incredibly kind supporters of our mission to be the best brewery, and workplace, in Tennessee, and we’re so very excited to join the community here!” Wesley Keegan, founder of TailGate, said in a social media post on Monday.
The Murfreesboro location of TailGate will serve “30 craft beers on draft, full craft pizza menu, and outdoor seating area overlooking Stones River,” according to the release.
Keegan started TailGate in 2014 and has since never accepted any outside investors. The business has grown exponentially and sells its beers in retail stores as well as in local restaurants.
“We believe in making quality, boundary-pushing beer and pizza, and creating a great place to work for our team. We have one owner and zero investors, audit our wages constantly to ensure they’re the best in our industry, and offer great perks like 100% company-paid health benefits, 401(k) match, and so much more,” its website states.
