Popsicles, elote, and mangonadas are coming soon to Murfreesboro just in time for the warmer weather. Leasing comps reveal Paletas Tucombo will become the newest tenant at 2955 S. Rutherford Blvd. in addition to its Antioch, Franklin, Nashville, and Columbia locations.
Though an exact opening date is not yet known, the lease will begin in April and the business could be operational within one to two months, given permitting and construction timelines.
Paletas Tucombo specializes in authentic Hispanic cuisine and previously had a location in Nashville’s popular Plaza Mariachi on Nolensville Road, a cultural epicenter for authentic Hispanic food and shopping. The business opened in 2014 and serves a wide variety of desserts along with savory snacks like dorilocos, which consists of Dorito tortilla chips topped with your choice of cucumber, jícama, lime juice, hot sauce, chamoy, chili powder, and peanuts. The restaurant also dishes up chicharrón preparado, a pork rind chip with cabbage, diced tomatoes, sour cream, cotija cheese, sliced avocados, and pickled pork rind.
Fruity and fresh-made popsicles, otherwise known as paletas, can be found in 37 different flavors at the storefront as well as for delivery on Postmates. Paletas Tucombo boasts over 1.5k followers on Facebook and is sure to be a hit in its new neighborhood of Murfreesboro.
Customers can learn more about the brand and keep up with its new location on its Instagram and Facebook. Paletas Tucombo does not appear to have an official website created. Company officials could not be reached for comment by the time of publication.
