The fried chicken joint Waldo’s Chicken and Beer, part of Nashville’s Fresh Hospitality portfolio, will be expanding this year and into 2024 in Brentwood and Belle Meade. The two new fast-casual locations were recently announced by the company in a press release.
Firstly, the location in Brentwood will open near the end of October at 7010 Executive Center Dr. The Belle Meade location is slated to open sometime in early 2024, though a definitive date is not yet known for either location. This will bring the restaurant, which also franchises nationwide, up to six locations in or around Music City.
The concept was invented by Mark Waldo in 2019 and has since expanded to have locations in Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, Arkansas, Florida, Oklahoma, and Colorado. Anchored by its two different chicken styles, Southern Fried and Rotisserie, the menu is paired with scratch-made options of Southern sides, sauces, desserts, and a full bar with rotating local brews.

Waldo himself serves as a hospitality partner in the Fresh Hospitality group, which also partners with and oversees local brands including Waldo’s Chicken and Beer, Vui’s Vietnamese Kitchen, Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe, Biscuit Love, Martin’s Barbecue, Waldo’s other concept called Hugh Baby’s, and Little Hats Italian Market.
