According to recent reporting, the building that has housed the venue, restaurant, and winery City Winery for nearly a decade has been sold to local investors, leaving the business on the hunt for a new home.
As noted by the Nashville Post, the purchase of the Pie Town property at 609 Lafayette St. was made by Evelyn Capital LLC, paying $21 million for 1.56 acres. City Winery has negotiated an agreement with the new owners to continue operating for three years and will relocate to a new venue in 2026 or 2027.

Founder and CEO of City Winery, Michael Dorf, tells What Now Nashville that the business has plans to move nearby. “Anywhere within a 10-minute drive from Downtown, full radius of the city,” Dorf stated in an email. Due to the relocation timeline being a few years out after the current lease ends, more specific details regarding the move are forthcoming.
City Winery was founded in 2008 in New York City and continues to grow as a venue for all things concerts, comedy, and private events while offering a full-service restaurant and wine-tasting menu specializing in charcuterie, oysters, small plates, and wine pairings, according to its online menu.
