Music City’s 400-square-foot taco shop started in the downtown neighborhood it gets its namesake from, Pie Town, in 2020. Now looking into growth opportunities, the family-owned business behind Pie Town Tacos is putting down roots in East Nashville’s Five Points for its second location, opening at 1106 Woodland St. inside Five Points Alley Shops.
Although an opening timeline has not yet been announced, it’s likely to be in the final stages of the opening process and may open doors within a month.
The owners of Pie Town Tacos, husband and wife duo Jason and Lea Crockarell, filed for a new business application citing the new address with the Davidson County Clerk’s office on December 4. The team will likely formally announce this exciting expansion very soon. When What Now Nashville contacted the Crockarells for comment, a PR representative confirmed the new location and noted that a news release with the announcement has not yet been distributed.
Pie Town Tacos specializes in a no-frills, authentic menu serving Mexican tacos, bowls, nachos, and sopapillas. “Offering simple, delicious tacos in Nashville, along with sides and sweets that don’t break the bank, the fast-casual concept features recipes with Mexican roots in a friendly community atmosphere,” states the brand’s website.
