Crieve Hall Bagel Co. has been slinging sourdough bagels in its South Nashville neighborhood since 2021. What began as a pandemic hobby transformed into one of Music City’s most popular bagel spots with lines out the door. Now, the team is gearing up to open its second location in East Nashville at 3701 Gallatin Pike, according to posts on social media.

Husband-and-wife co-founders Ben and Lizzy Cornfield announced last week on an Instagram post that they’re bringing bagels to Inglewood, an area that has seen recent growth for retail and restaurants. Last year, Ladybird Taco, another local breakfast favorite, announced their second location will come to Inglewood.

The Crieve Hall team hopes to open their new location by this fall or winter at the latest. An exact grand opening timeline is forthcoming

What Now Nashville spoke with Ben about Crieve Hall’s expansion and what inspired them to choose Inglewood.

“It all begins and ends with family,” Ben said in an email. “When Lizzy and I first moved to Nashville, we moved into a small duplex in East. When we had our first son seven years ago, Inglewood provided an affordable, family-friendly neighborhood option that we loved so much. When Lizzy was pregnant with our second, we moved to the Hall to be closer to the Zoo and for an extra bedroom. Now the chance to bring this all full circle with locations in the only two neighborhoods we’ve lived in is just almost too good to be true,” he added.

The Inglewood location will offer the same menu options as its original location, with highlights like everything but the bagel flavored schmear, rosemary sourdough bagels, and their infamous cinnamon rolls.

“The goal has always been to provide a condensed menu offering elite products and we want to bring that to Inglewood,” Ben said.

When asked about what the future looks like beyond its second location, Ben said further expansion across Nashville is possible, though not a time-sensitive priority for the team.

“We are truly a mom-and-pop business. We started during Covid to make a little extra money and have never taken on outside investment. After this second location, if the opportunity presents itself we will talk about a third but we’ve got to walk before we can run,” Ben said.
