The new Maru Sushi location is slated to finish construction by summertime, with an official opening date to follow. Wedgewood Houston has grown much in recent years, ushering in businesses like Soho House, Spotify, LiveNation, Apple Music, and restaurants like Dos Santos, iggy’s, Mercado by Butchertown, and Pastis.
Construction of the 2,500-square-foot building is being spearheaded by local firm Dryden Architecture and Design, as noted in permits with Metro filed this week. Mikyung Bang serves as the founder and owner of Maru Sushi and originally opened the business in 2018 in East Nashville.
Maru Sushi specializes in both lunch and dinner offerings including beef bulgogi, udon, vegetarian ramen, and fresh seafood rolls. The business also offers alcoholic options like beer and sake to pair perfectly with sushi.
